Haven't updated for 4months i guess. Haha. Suddenly thought of this incident while showering. Was thinking about my behaviour towards money, and suddenly something makes me recall alot of unhappy incidents that happened in secondary school..

I rmb my allowances then were abit pathetic. And i have to pay for my own CCA, which takes up quite abit of $. Life was pathetic for me. I save and scrimp like anything. A miser, that's wat some ppl would think of me in sch. Yet u know wat? My parents think i spend too much and keeps nagging at me back @ home. Anyone been through this before? Even up till now? It was damn fucked up seriously. I doubt not many ppl0 understands anyway.

Anyway, somehow i ended up in abit of debts, arnd $10?? My friends were chasing for it, n u know wat? My unsympathetic egoistic father refused to give me that pathetic $10.. I kept delaying and it makes me look freaking bad in school. I think there was 1 night where i cried, then my dad gave me that pathetic $10.. It was really pathetic u know? P-A-T-H-E-T-I-C. Crying for $10. I think i never forget that day, till now.

W/o @, one is really pathetic. I doubt anyone been through that before. But for someone who's been through that, I seriously think that money is very impt to al laspects of life. Not just the material side, but also the emotional side such as pride, ego, satisfaction, generousity, etc.

Life is really like a book.
You never know what you are going to get next until you are at that page.
It's always filled with suspenses and surprises.
Regardless of anything, the story still goes on until the book is over.
One good thing is that the reader have certain control over the story.
However, it is quite minimal.
Just a sad thought that nothing can ever be rewritten.

Though of My Day:
My life, slowly unwinding itself unto me.

I'm beginning to appreciate the beauty of perfection, through chinese chess. How one wrong step, no matter how minor the fault is, can cause one to lose the whole game.. When every judgment can cause you to lose the game.
I relate this to racing. Somehow i got attracted to speed and risk nowadays. Imagine the racer losing focus for a split second while doing a dangerous drift. They risk losing their lifes. Their focus is worth respecting. Same goes for all who seeks for full concentration in performing the most perfect act.

Five for Fighting - 100 years

I'm 15 for a moment
Caught in between 10 and 20
And I'm just dreaming
Counting the ways to where you are

I'm 22 for a moment
She feels better than ever
And we're on fire
Making our way back from Mars

15 there's still time for you
Time to buy and time to lose
15, there's never a wish better than this
When you only got 100 years to live

I'm 33 for a moment
Still the man, but you see I'm a they
A kid on the way
A family on my mind

I'm 45 for a moment
The sea is high
And I'm heading into a crisis
Chasing the years of my life

15 there's still time for you
Time to buy, Time to lose yourself
Within a morning star

15 I'm all right with you
15, there's never a wish better than this
When you only got 100 years to live

Half time goes by
Suddenly you're wise
Another blink of an eye
67 is gone
The sun is getting high
We're moving on...

I'm 99 for a moment
Dying for just another moment
And I'm just dreaming
Counting the ways to where you are

15 there's still time for you
22 I feel her too
33 you're on your way
Every day's a new day...

15 there's still time for you
Time to buy and time to choose
Hey 15, there's never a wish better than this
When you only got 100 years to live

Thought: I'm tired, @ 25years old. Wat a joke. Lol. Aww. Must be due to the this timing. Time to slp..

Five for Fighting - Superman

I can’t stand to fly
I’m not that naive
I’m just out to find
The better part of me

I’m more than a bird...i’m more than a plane
More than some pretty face beside a train
It’s not easy to be me

Wish that I could cry
Fall upon my knees
Find a way to lie
About a home I’ll never see

It may sound absurd...but don’t be naive
Even heroes have the right to bleed
I may be disturbed...but won’t you concede
Even heroes have the right to dream
It’s not easy to be me

Up, up and away...away from me
It’s all right...you can all sleep sound tonight
I’m not crazy...or anything...

I can’t stand to fly
I’m not that naive
Men weren’t meant to ride
With clouds between their knees

I’m only a man in a silly red sheet
Digging for kryptonite on this one way street
Only a man in a funny red sheet
Looking for special things inside of me
Inside of me
Inside me
Yeah, inside me
Inside of me

I’m only a man
In a funny red sheet
I’m only a man
Looking for a dream

I’m only a man
In a funny red sheet
And it’s not easy, hmmm, hmmm, hmmm...

Its not easy to be me

Thought: It's never easy to be urself, even harder if you duno urself..

Simple Plan - Crazy

Tell me what's wrong with society
When everywhere I look, I see
Young girls dying to be on TV
They won't stop till they've reached their dreams

Diet pills, surgery
Photoshopped pictures in magazines
Telling them how they should be
It doesn't make sense to me

Is everybody going crazy?
Is anybody gonna save me?
Can anybody tell me what's going on?
Tell me what's going on?
If you open your eyes
You'll see that something is wrong

I guess things are not how they used to be
There's no more normal families
Parents act like enemies
Making kids feel like it's World War III

No one cares, no one's there
I guess we're all just too damn busy
And money's our first priority
It doesn't make sense to me

Is everybody going crazy?
Is anybody gonna save me?
Can anybody tell me what's going on?
Tell me what's going on?
If you open your eyes
You'll see that something is wrong

Is everybody going crazy?
Is everybody going crazy?

Tell me what's wrong with society
When everywhere I look I see
Rich guys driving big SUVs
While kids are starving in the streets

No one cares
No one likes to share
I guess life's unfair

Is everybody going crazy?
Is anybody gonna save me?
Can anybody tell me what's going on?
Tell me what's going on?
If you open your eyes
You'll see that something, something is wrong

Tell me what's going on?

Reality Check.
Reaching the end of a job interview, the Human Resources person asked a young applicant fresh out of Business School,
"So what starting salary are you looking for?"
The applicant said, "Around $100,000 a year, depending on the benefits package."
The interviewer said, "Well, what would you say to 20 days of paid leave, full medical and dental, the company matching your retirement fund to 50% of your salary, and a company car leased every two years - say, a red BMW 7 series?"
The applicant sat up straight and said, "Wow! Are you kidding?"
And the interviewer replied, "Yeah, but you started it."

Sweeping Statements.
A young man was hired by a supermarket and reported for his first day of work. The manager greeted him with a warm handshake and a smile, then gave him a broom and said,
"Your first job will be to sweep out the store."
"But I'm a college graduate," the young man replied indignantly.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't realise that," said the manager. "Here, give me the broom, I'll show you how."

Time to move into another part of my life. So many things are going to change.. So many.. Hmm.

Quotes!!!

War doesn't determine who is right, war determines who is left.
– Bertrand Russell

I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.
-Michael Jordan

Looking back, I have this to regret, that too often when I loved, I did not say so.
-David Grayson

You got to believe in yourself. Hell, I believe I'm the best-looking guy in the world & I might be right.
-Charles Barkley

Dance like there's nobody watching
Love like you'll never get hurt
Sing like there's nobody listening
Live like it's heaven on earth
And speak from the heart to be heard.
-William W. Purkey

Grown-ups never understand anything for themselves, and it is tiresome for children to be always and forever explaining things to them
-Antoine De Saint-Exupery

What makes the desert beautiful is that somewhere it hides a well.
-Antoine De Saint-Exupery

Language is the source of misunderstandings.
-Antoine De Saint-Exupery

Grown-ups like numbers. When you tell them about a new friend, they never ask questions about what really matters. They never ask: "What does his voice sound like?" "What games does he like best?" "Does he collect butterflies?". They ask: "How old is he?" "How many brothers does he have?" "How much does he weigh?" "How much money does his father make?" Only then do they think they know him.
-Antoine De Saint-Exupery

If you tell grown-ups, "I saw a beautiful red brick house, with geraniums at the windows and doves on the roof...," they won't be able to imagine such a house. You have to tell them, "I saw a house worth a hundred thousand francs." Then they exclaim, "What a pretty house!"
-Antoine De Saint-Exupery

"What are you doing here," he asked the drunkard...
"Drinking," replied the drunkard, with a gloomy expression.
"Why are you drinking?" the little prince asked.
"To forget," replied the drunkard.
"To forget what?" inquired the little prince, who was already feeling sorry for him.
"To forget that I'm ashamed," confessed the drunkard, hanging his head.
"What are you ashamed of?" inquired the little prince, who wanted to help.
"Of drinking!" concluded the drunkard...

I heard about this interesting story, and will try to put it into words.

A young child was walking past a construction site. He didn't know what they were doing, and thus went forward to ask the workers.
The first worker that he asked, was abit rude and seems to be in a bad mood. He answered, "I'm laying bricks, can't you see?"
The second worker that he asked, was abit mor epolite than the previous worker. He answered, "Oh, I'm building a wall."
And the last worker that he asked, who seemed the most friendly of all, put down the bricks in his hand, wiped off the sweat on his forehead and answered proudly, "I'm building this magnificent church!"

So what's the moral of the story?
The 3 workers are doing exactly the same job, but yet all of them gave different responses.
The first worker is simply doing what he is doing.
The second worker is a professional, trying to complete his work to a certain quality.
And the third one, is one who have a dream, have a goal, and work towards it.
The third worker will find the most satisfaction when he finishes his work, because he knows that every brick that he lays will bing him closer to his goal.
This is a reflection to a lot of us in life actually. Many of us are like the first worker, some are like the second worker, and a few are like the third worker.

What is your final destination? What is your life goal? Is what you are doing now, helping you attain that life goal of yours? If not, chances are you are merely wasting your life away. When you are old, you will look back and ponder, what have you been doing all these times.. And then, you will do one thing that you shouldn't, really. And that is regret..

Thought of my Day:
Follow your dreams, pursue it, enjoy it thoroughly. And then regret thoroughly if you want in the future. But before you start to regret, think about the happy moments that you had enjoyed while pursuing your dreams.

Thanx for standing by me during this 6wks, my dear.

And thanx for all the things that you have done for me on my birthday.
Thanx for the treat.
Thanx for the gift.
Thanx for the sparklers we played.
Thanx for the cupcakes.
And most importantly, thanx for the thought and effort.

A game not for the weak hearted.
A game of the strong minded.
A game that you have no control over at all.
A game that you have to play by the rules.
A game where winning and losing is so distinct.
A game where when all odds are against you, and yet you still can win.

This is what makes a game challenging.

Hmm the system says me that i have not been logged in for 15 weeks! Haha.
Just felt like posting some song lyrics to encourage myself on this journey. Lol. Here goes!

This is a link that my girlfriend sent me. The performance was superb, the right voice and the right song.

I'd always like the song "Somewhere over the rainbows" during army days. Then from my friends, they told me that it's a lullaby. Brr. How could a lullaby be so meaningful i thought to myself. The song was sad in a way, although the lyrics are full of hope. SO NICE!

Oh did I mentioned I like it so much that I found 4 different versions, sang differently by Eva Cassidy, Judy Garland, Tori Amos, and one annonymous singer. Haha. And the feel of the song sang by the different singers, different styles are so different. But i would still prefer the 6 yr old version. Pure, without music. Juz vocal :)

I remember that since young, I like the part in the Bible where young Jesus went to the church and stunned most of the priests with his questions. I still like that part even now. It shows how stupid humans were and they are still like this now.

How nice if there is any one who can do that now.. Hmm wait a minute. I think there are a lot of people who is doing that. Whaha.

I was thinking back on this charity move that Jurong JC did when I was in J2. We(the whole class) collected newspaper for the whole day from morning till evening, and we raised around $50(figure was estimated as it was too long ago, but it was below $100) i think from the sales of all the papers.

Then I asked my classmates, isn't it better to find a part time job, work a day and give our pay for that day to charity? It will be 30 ppl X arnd $40 (or lesser) which gives us $1000+? I dun think anyone replied me..

In the wine shop that I'm working in, I was suggesting this planning of timetable using the PC instead of paper because it saves alot of time & trouble with cancellations, making sure that no one is left out, & saves the hassle of drawing the table every week. The answer I got was abit retarded. "Coz we have been doing it all along!" & then she continued to draw her table on the table.

I realised from a discussion with my friend about counselling and inspiring, that.. I dun really counsel people. I always try to inspire them. And it works only if the person is very motivated himself to seek for higher grounds. If not all will be deemed as derogation.

1:43PM - Mr Bean's Holiday

How should I put it? It's basically a no brainer movie. The plot was not great and the scenes are a bit predictable. Anyway I think most of us are just having a good laugh at Mr. Bean.

One interesting point about the show, is that French people dislike English people a lot(According to my french tutor last semester). If you dunno about it, you will not be able to really understand the sarcacism of how they poke fun of the English people. Haha. This point let me wonder, how many movies that I've watched contains this type of sarcacism and yet I have completely ignore it. "My days in the Government Sector" is another movie that poke fun of the Government. Crap. I realised I'm quite interested in this type of film too! Haha.

Speaking of the movie again, one might have realised that there probably wun be much to show if Mr Bean manged to catch the train he's supposed to board, if not for his tie getting caught in the drink/food machine. It makes me wonder, how often our fate/destiny/life is actually changed, just because of a little action or behaviour that we do. For eg, if one walks not fast enough and missed the last bus/train, he might have to take the cab home!

Thought of My Day:
Life is full of decisions and choices.
Every decision counts.
